This quarter, the list of newly franchising restaurants is a tale of two extremes: both healthy, plant-based restaurants and indulgent, oversized foods reign supreme. Both represent Americans trying to navigate their dining out life post-pandemic, with a balance of vegetarian foods that are good for bodies and for the planet and comfort foods that they missed when they were cooped up during the pandemic.

From two plant-based burger concepts to a pizza shop offering giant pies, take a look at who’s franchising now.
