LinkedIn Live session Thursday to highlight exclusive partnership for tap wines at casual-dining concept
Sixty Vines, the casual-dining concept from FB Society LLC, earlier this year announced an exclusive partnership with Ridge Vineyards, the producer of premium wines, to debut Ridge's Three Valleys Red Zinfandel on tap, a first for the winemaker and an exclusive at the restaurant concept.
Jeff Carcara, CEO of Dallas-based Sixty Vines, and James Olney, head winemaker at Cupertino, Calif.-based Ridge Vineyards, will talk about the partnership and sustainability in the adult-beverage industry during a DrinkedIn Live presentation at 4 p.m. EDT Thursday, July 27. The LinkedIn presentation is free and available for replay.
The companies earlier this year said the decision to keg the wine was a natural extension of their commitment to sustainability.
"We take the quality and sustainability of our wines very seriously at Ridge, which is why we spent more than two years building a meaningful relationship with Sixty Vines and Free Flow to ensure our wines could be kegged and served at our highest standards," said Olney in a statement. "We’re proud to serve our Three Valleys Zinfandel on tap at Sixty Vines and look forward to future collaborations.”
Ridge’s famed 1971 Monte Bello placed fifth in the benchmark Judgement of Paris Tasting in 1976.
“Our commitment to innovation and sustainability is central to our mission, and partnering with Ridge Vineyards is a natural extension of that philosophy,” said Carcara. “Ridge shares our passion for serving the highest quality wines while prioritizing eco-friendliness. This partnership reinforces our belief that the finest wines can and should be served via keg which is a big step in reimagining wine culture, and we're thrilled to bring Ridge Vineyards' exceptional wines to our guests.”
A restaurant brand with a commitment to sustainability, each Sixty Vines location has a 60-tap wine system that creates an eco-friendly approach to wine service. Keg wine, the base of the tap program, results in less packaging and less waste for the environment, as one keg holds 26 wine bottles and 1,500 over its refillable lifetime.
Sixty Vines, founded in 2016, was featured as a Nation's Restaurant News Hot Concept in 2022 as part of the CREATE: The Future of Foodservice experience.
Sixty Vines has eight restaurants in Plano, Dallas, Houston, and The Woodlands, Texas; Winter Park and Boca Raton, Fla.; Charlotte, N.C.; and Nashville, Tenn.
