Famed bakery Magnolia Bakery released its newest collaboration with fashion brand New York or Nowhere on Oct. 2.

The companies’ collaborative collection is inspired by the bakery’s flagship location on Bleeker Street in New York City’s West Village. The line features t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, totes, long-sleeve t-shirts and sweatpants, all in Magnolia Bakery colors.

In typical New York or Nowhere fashion, the clothing is inspired by New York City elements and remains fashionable streetwear.

The capsule collection is an ode “to the city they both call home,” according to a release.

“It’s a dream to collaborate with such an iconic New York institution that is beloved by locals and tourists alike,” said Liz Eswein, co-founder of New York or Nowhere, in a release. “Magnolia Bakery has been the cornerstone of celebration for New Yorkers and we are honored to build out a collection inspired by their signature motifs and pastel adornments combined with New York or Nowhere's popular trademark iconography.”

A pop-up event to celebrate the launch took place on Oct. 2 at the Magnolia Bakery flagship store.

The collection started selling out within 10 to 15 minutes of the doors opening at the New York City location.

"We just wanted to bring two iconic brands together...it's crazy how we never did this before," Magnolia Bakery CMo Eddie Revis told Restaurant Hospitality. "New York is back and we love our tagging, 'It will always be New York or Nowhere.'"

The collection features a limited-edition cupcake as well.

“Topping it off with our very own New York or Nowhere upcake, we couldn't be more excited for everyone to experience this bucket-list moment alongside us at Magnolia Bakery's West Village location on the corner of West 11th and Bleecker Street,” Eswein said.

Customers have a choice between a vanilla or chocolate cupcake topped with vanilla buttercream and a New York or Nowhere-inspired daisy design for the limited-edition dessert.
