Webinar offers guidance about how to apply for the latest round of funding
The Paycheck Protection Program reopened this week after a new round of funding made $284 billion available as part of the recent stimulus package.
This go round specifically targets smaller businesses, which have been hit hardest by the pandemic. It follows the PPP efforts in 2020, which included 5.2 million loans valued at about $525 billion, according to the U.S. Treasury Department.
Wondering how it works?
The Independent Restaurant Coalition partnered with the James Beard Foundation and Arnold & Porter to answer questions about how these updates impact operators. More guidance is available in a question-and-answer page on the group’s website.
The webinar is moderated by Cheetie Kumar, chef and owner of the restaurant Garland in Raleigh, N.C. and Katie Button of Katie Button Restaurants based in Asheville, N.C., who share their own experiences with the PPP program.
