Sketch

Sketch is London’s Instagram-famous gastronomic hotspot on the original site of the Christian Dior headquarters. The colorful two-floor concept that celebrates art, interior design and dining is comprised of three bars and two restaurants that look more like small palaces than dining rooms.

Opened in 2002, Sketch was designed by French sculptor Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance and owner Mourad Mazouz to evoke a distinct personality in every room, and the food is curated by three-Michelin-starred executive chef Pierre Gagnaire.

The Millennial pink Gallery is covered with 200-plus original prints from David Shrigley. The Gallery reopened in 2014, serving dinner and afternoon tea starting at £59 ($74.97), complete with a sommelier-like tea master pouring high-end brews.

The brightly colored Parlour was redesigned in 2018 by Mazouz and Andres Ros Soto and is known for its ballet slipper-clad chairs (breakfast and bar snacks served for £5 to £38, or $6.36 or $48.32. The orange-hued two-Michelin-starred Lecture Room & Library offers a tasting menu for £120 ($152.76) or an à la carte menu.

The Glade is meant to look like a natural forest with a wall-to-wall mural of a glade, forest floor-inspired carpet, and jewel-toned tables and chairs. The room serves breakfast, lunch, bar snacks, and cocktails for an average price of £14.50 ($18.46).

The alien-looking East Bar is an all-white sunken room and the smallest bar in London with seating for 30. East Bar is surrounded by egg-shaped toilet pods that look like science-fiction movie props, with cocktails from £15.50, or about $19.73.
