12 new restaurant concepts that opened in 2023

2023 has seen a wide variety of new restaurant openings. Among the dozens Restaurant Hospitality reported on, we saw a lot of new Italian concepts, a lot of new concepts in Miami, and most importantly, a lot of innovation and originality.

In this gallery, meet 12 of the concepts we covered this year. Two are from members of our founders & entrepreneurs Power List. These restaurants are in NYC and Los Angeles, sure, but others are in Minnesota, and suburban areas of Colorado and Florida.

There’s a new Tex-Mex restaurant from the founder of Tijuana Flats, a concept focused on regenerative beef, and the latest from Marcus Samuelsson and Justin Sutherland.
