Texas-based restaurant group to open 1st out-of-state new-build location later this year
Western Addition Restaurant Group plans to open a unit of its Il Bracco Italian concept later this year in Scottsdale, Ariz., its first location outside its home state of Texas, the company announced Tuesday.
Dallas-based Western Addition said the third Il Bracco location, after units in Dallas and Houston, would open in new construction at Scottsdale Road and Rose Lane, adjacent to Blanco Cocina + Cantina.
The location covers 5,000 square feet indoors with a 950-square-foot patio. Seating is expected to be for 161, with 10 patio tables for 42, 25 inside tables for 94 and a bar that will seat 25.
Western Addition Restaurant Group, founded in 2018, said construction on the Arizona location starts this week.
The restaurant “will feature a stylish, modern interior,” the company said. il Bracco Scottsdale was designed by Kelly Wallace, Western Addition’s vice president of architecture and Mary Lucille Quick, the company’s vice president of design. along with Quick’s firm MMaison Interiors and Phoenix-based architectural firm Brick & West Design.
“Building on the success of its existing Dallas and Houston locations, the new restaurant will offer the same elevated dining experience with housemade pastas, handcrafted salads, prime steaks and seafood, along with expertly crafted cocktails and a thoughtfully curated wine list,” the company said.
Western Addition is led by Hillstone Restaurant Group alums Robert Quick and Matt Gottlieb. IL Bracco first opened in Dallas in 2019.
“Expanding to Scottsdale marks a major milestone for us. il Bracco was our first concept and taking it beyond our home state is both a proud and momentous step,” Quick, Western Addition CEO, said in a statement. “We selected Scottsdale for its dynamic dining scene and vibrant community that values quality and innovation.”
Scottsdale is a logical place for the company to expand, executives said.
“Scottsdale is a natural fit for us, perfectly aligning with il Bracco’s energy,” Gottlieb, Western Addition’s chief operating officer, said. “Our guests in Texas know us for our commitment to quality, freshness and over-the-top hospitality. Our menu highlights both tradition and creativity, featuring a mix of our favorite Italian dishes, iconic Italian-American classics and our own innovations.”
Serving lunch and dinner, the restaurant offers a menu of Italian favorites, including housemade pastas, breads and desserts, along with fresh fish and prime meats butchered in-house daily.
il Bracco Scottsdale will be located at 6160 N. Scottsdale Road.
Western Addition also owns the Bobbie’s Airway Grill in Dallas and Balboa Surf Club in Houston.
