16 oz. ham
4 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
8 Tbsp. jam
8 slices Swiss cheese
4 croissants
3 qt. brulee batter, prepared
as needed, powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 400°F. Place brulee (French toast) batter in a bowl large enough to submerge sandwich. Split each croissant and spread jam on the bottom piece and Dijon mustard on the top piece. Next, layer ham and cheese on the jam side. Finish by placing Dijon slice of croissant on top. Grab sandwich firmly and dunk in batter. Make sure entire sandwich is coated but not soggy. Place on a sheet pan with a rack. Once all sandwiches are finished, place in oven and bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Remove from oven, dust with powdered sugar and serve.
