Miami
Opened: December, 2015
Beaker & Gray, a craft cocktail bar and restaurant in Miami’s Wynwood arts district, is aiming to please both late-night libation-seekers and serious foodies. Its owners are chef Brian Nasajon (Lure Fishbar, NYC, and Wish and SushiSamba, both in Miami Beach) and mixologist Ben Potts (Broken Shaker and Blackbird Ordinary, both in Miami) named their new concept for the bar and kitchen tools, the beaker and the Gray Kunz spoon. The duo serves up the flavors of the world in items like churros with shrimp, chorizo and ginger, and Wagyu ribeye with baby fennel, leek and daikon. Cocktails include the spicy and fruity Halliwell, a blend of Stolichnaya vodka, Cocchi Americano Rosa, ginger, strawberries and fresh mint; and the Lavagave, a floral, creamy mix of Don Julio Blanco, Fidencio mezcal, lavender, egg whites, grapefruit and vanilla bitters. Brick walls, a cozy lounge and an intimate chef's table make for a comfortable scene.
